Over nearly two decades, it has built an impressive reputation by partnering with clients, chiefly in the Food and Beverage sector to design, develop and implement customised best practice and NQF aligned people development strategies and systems.
What is RPL?
RPL is a process through which non formal and formal learning are measured and mediated for recognition across different contexts and certified against the requirements for either NQF credit or access and advancement in formal education or the workplace.
We have in conjunction with FoodBev successfully piloted a fresh approach to RPL based on the QCTO Policy and Procedure rather than the cumbersome procedures implemented by SETA in the past.
What do we offer?
We offer an NQF level 3 certificate in Food and Beverage packaging operations via a fast-track option for persons who comply to the minimum requirements. Meaning persons with the required experience could obtain this qualification in merely 6 months.
Successful applicants will progress to a screening phase where they will have to achieve a minimum of 70% for the technical test, applicants must also screen to the NQF 1 Literacy test as well as the NQF 2 Numeracy test. If this is not possible, we at CPC also offer a computer based Adult Learning Programme that can assist candidates to improve their literacy and numeracy skills. After completion of this the candidates are eligible for rescreening 6 months later and may apply for the next RPL intake.
This program is much faster, and more cost-effective than traditional methods, additionally it boosts team morale as employees are more motivated. It is also an opportunity for employees to become multiskilled across various operations, while updating them to the current best practice.
RPL is undeniably a valuable programme that allows management teams to give back to the many “disenfranchised” operators and thereby deem them equal heroes that in turn give back even more due to their boosted morale, multiskilling and higher-level thinking.
